Goult: 40 km from the holiday home.
There is only one road that leads to Goult, in the Small Luberon. By the narrow roads of the village, you wander along the colorful facades and fragrant planters that welcome tourists. Walk from the famous Café de la Poste to Vieux Goult, where most of the buildings are dug into a rocky hill. You can then go to the windmill, a characteristic monument of Goult, for a picnic with a magnificent view on the lavender fields that color the panorama.
Today, Goult is one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. It is a charming village with characteristic streets where you can take a nice walk between the many old buildings and a delightful square where you can enjoy a refreshing drink on hot summer days. During the summer months, a lovely regional market is organized on Thursdays in this square, where you can taste local specialties. Goult (village map) is a place well worth visiting. A good restaurant? Le Carillon and slightly finer dining at La Bartavelle .
You can also visit Aureto, the 36-hectare Coquillade winery. The Relais & Château Coquillade 5* is located on a magnificent estate 4 km from Gargas. With 3 restaurants: Avelan, The Vines and Its Garden, each with a beautiful view of the vines and Cipressa, overlooking the pool.
